I receive age pension. How much can I earn before I need to lodge a tax return?
You can earn up to the tax-free threshold, including your age pension.
Do you work after normal hours or at weekends?

How long do I need to keep my records for?
You need to keep written evidence/documentation supporting your tax return for five (5) years from the due date of lodging your tax return, or five (5) years from the date you lodge you tax return, whichever is later. However, other documentation needs to be kept for a longer period, for example, documents for the purchase of an asset should be retained until the tax return has been lodged within which the asset is disposed of, and then for a further five (5) years in accordance with the aforementioned rules. If in doubt, contact us.

If you have taxable income of less than the tax-free threshold, you will get back all of the tax you have paid if you do not owe the Australian Taxation Office or Centrelink any monies.
